SHAME

I just saw tonight the erotic drama “Shame”, a dark tale about a solitary sex addict whose routine is upset by the sudden appearance of his troubled and needy sister. Depressing, cold, sometimes difficult to watch, “Shame” is a provocative, truthful and intense piece. The performance of Michael Fassbender is quite remarkable. I definitely see him as a top front runner for next year’s Best Actor Oscar. Kudos to the British director and visual artist Steve McQueen for tackling such a difficult subject in prudish America.
